Onsite designing and installation.
For me the best part of landscape design is getting dirty and planting. Often things don't come out as planned on paper, and you have to shift plants or change them out altogether. Another way I design is onsite, with different ideas and developing the plant pallet as I work and see fit. Nothing is set in stone or on paper. That unpredictability is part of the beauty of an evolving garden.

I was fortunate to be able to design and install an eclectic garden for close friends of mine. Their garden includes:
~ Low water drought tolerant plants from around the world as well as specimens from the client's succulent collection.
~ Edibles with citrus, stone-fruit, berries, seasonal vegetables.
~ Mixed perennial and rose garden that included plants from my own collection.
* While a broad eclectic collection of plants isn't for everybody, this was definitely a treat to design and watch evolve through the years.
